Midwifery Services

"If I had my life to live over, instead of wishing away nine months of pregnancy, I'd have cherished every moment and realized that the wonderment growing inside me was the only chance in life to assist God in a miracle." - Irma Bombeck

At Beginning at Home we provide comprehensive prenatal care throughout all of your pregnancy. Care starts whenever you are ready and many clients choose to work with us even before conception as they plan for their growing family. Our care is concluded at about 8 weeks postpartum and includes all check-ups for both mama and baby. But friendships are created that last a lifetime!

Education is of utmost importance to us and we strive to provide tools, information and resources all throughout your care so that you can make the right decisions for your family. We stress the importance of nutrition for growing a healthy baby thus optimizing the chances of a smooth, natural delivery.

Our prenatal appointments are never rushed. We plan for a full hour just in case you have questions and concerns that you would like addressed. Truly informed choice is our specialty. During our appointments we spend time discussing the purposes for the tests, labs and treatments that are part of routine prenatal care. Each and every client is not only informed but is the best decision maker when it comes to their care.

In addition to our standard care, our midwifery services include your birth kit, a birth assistant or student midwife, filing of your birth certificate, and your newborn screening all at no additional charge. We will also help with initial breastfeeding and offer up referrals for any services and treatments that may be of benefit to you.

We accept several different insurances and offer financial discounts to those who qualify. We encourage you to contact us to set up your free consultation and to learn more about our care. We look forward to working with you.
